Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: How you interact with our app, features used, and session duration.
• Camera Data: Images captured for cigar band identification are processed by our AI service but are not permanently stored on our servers.

AI Image Processing

When you use our cigar band scanning feature, images are sent to our AI service (powered by Anthropic's Claude) for analysis. These images are:

• Used solely for the purpose of identifying the cigar in the image
• Not stored permanently on our servers
• Not used to train AI models
• Processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy practices

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our service
• To process cigar identification requests
• To sync your collection and journal across devices
• To process subscription payments
• To send you important updates about the service
• To improve our app and develop new features

Payment Processing

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. When you subscribe to CigarSnap Premium:

• Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store)
• We receive subscription status and transaction identifiers
• We do not have access to your full payment card details
• RevenueCat stores anonymized purchase data to manage your subscription

Data Storage

• Local Storage: Your collection and journal data is primarily stored locally on your device.
• Cloud Sync: If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored securely on our servers.
• Encryption: All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating our app (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing)
• If required by law or to respond to legal process
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
